Admission B.Pharm First Year Degree course through Centralized Admission Process (CAP)

Govt. of Maharashtra shall conduct a single Combined “Common Entrance Test” MHT-CET-2011 for all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2011-2012. The Entrance Test will be held on Thursday, 12th May 2011. Govt. of Maharashtra has appointed Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai as “The Competent Authority for the MHT-CET-2011”. The merit list of the above said examination will be utilized for admission in private college.

This section briefly explains the various stages and procedure adopted for the CAP. Candidates seeking admission to Pharmacy courses are required to appear for MHT-CET 2011 conducted by the respective Competent Authority. For the academic year 2011-12, Competent Authority shall conduct total Three (3) rounds of Centralized Admission. The CAP shall consist of first two (2) rounds of Centralized Allotment wherein eligible candidates (both Maharashtra and OMS) will fill separate/fresh Online Option forms for each round. Third round of CAP shall be conducted by way of counseling only for the eligible Maharashtra State candidates.

A single Application form and three Brochures (Health Science, Engineering and Pharmacy) will be made available from 23/03/2011. The schedule and place of receiving and submission of Application Form is as per following table:

All the three brochures (Health Science, Engineering & Pharmacy) are available on the websites of DMER (www.dmer.org) and DTE (www.dte.org.in). Aspiring candidates should go through the eligibility criteria as per the respective MHT-CET-2011 brochures, before purchasing the application form. The cost of the Application Form along with the three information brochures of

MHT-CET-2011 and Examination fee is Rs.700/- for open category and all Outside Maharashtra candidates and Rs.500/- for reserve category candidates (belonging to Maharashtra State Only). This amount is not refundable. The candidates from Outside Maharashtra (OMS) can purchase application form and Information brochure(s) of MHT-CET 2011 from any Divisional Authority office as mentioned in Annexure-A by submitting Demand Draft of Rs. 700/- drawn in favor of "Competent Authority, MH-CET, Mumbai" payable at Mumbai, drawn on any Scheduled Commercial Bank.

Major Steps in the CET and Admission through CAP are summarized below:-

1. Fill in and Submit Application Form for MHT-CET 2011

2. Appear for the MHT-CET 2011 as per the schedule

3. Declaration of the result of MHT-CET 2011

4. Document Verification, Fill in the Online Application Form for Centralized Admission to Pharmacy i.e. CAP and Confirm it at the Application form Receipt Centers (ARCs) by eligible MHT-CET 2011 qualified candidates

5. Display of Merit List of candidates who have confirmed the online Application Form for Centralized Admission to Pharmacy on website www.dte.org.in/ph2011.

6. Fill in and confirm the Online Option Form(s) for CAP Round(s) I/II (by candidates eligible

to participate in these CAP rounds) on the website www.dte.org.in/ph2011.

7. Display of Allotment(s) of respective CAP Round(s) I/II on the website www.dte.org.in/ph2011.

8. Reporting to respective Institutes as per allotment of CAP Round(s) I/II.

9. Conduction of CAP Round-III by counseling and Reporting to respective Institute.
